The Bibites Wiki

The Bibites tries to use the default standard units from the SI (or at least analogous units to the real world units) but have a set of it's own units to convey the scale of the simulation. It's a good idea to understand their respective use and reason of existence.

Fundamental Units[]

These Units are the fundamentals units that define the simulation. They are as physical as they get.

Unit Symbol Unit Full Name Main Use Alternate names/uses
s seconds time
u units distance length, perimeter
E enits energy units of energy
g grams mass weight

Note: Temperature is eventually planned to be simulated, but as it is not at the moment it is not part of the fundamental units.

Derived Units[]

These units are constructed from the Fundamental Units, but still denote useful values and quantities that have a direct physical interpretation.

Derived Symbol Unit Symbol Unit Name Main Use Alternate names/uses
g•u/s2 N newts force push
u/u ° degrees angle
u2 - square units amount of matter amount / area, surface
u/s - units per seconds speed velocity
u/s2 - units per second squared acceleration
s-1 Hz hertz frequency
u2/s - square units per second reactivity amount per second / growth, decay, chemical reactivity
N/u - newts per unit muscle strength pressure
E/s W watts energy use
E/u2 - enits per square unit energy density
g/u2 - grams per square unit mass density

Note: Some derived units might be missing. More obscure units that don't appear often, or at all, have been left out in order to keep the table at a reasonable size, even if they might be used behind the scene.

Functional Units[]

Functional Units don't necessarily have a concrete and fully descriptible physical analog, but are used to denote some values or quantities of something. Most of them are used to express bibite stats in a user-friendly manner.

BP Body Points = 0.42 u2 bibite max health toughness
HP Health Points E bibite health vitality
SPD Speed bibite movement
STR Strength N mouth strength hardness
DEF Defence N bibite hardness protection
IMN Immune Activation % immune activation
V vir u2 virus amount

Scaling Prefixes[]

Following the standards set in the international system of units, the simulation uses prefixes to change the scale of a unit and making it easier to read very big or very small values.
